The Recipe for the Hungarian Cake (Madžarica)

On my computer, I have found this recipe. I remember making it, even though I think I ended up eating it all myself. Which was probably not the most healthy thing to do.

Since I am cleaning my computer, I decided to write it up and post it, in case somebody else wants to make it as well.

And I apologize to my sister. She asked my to start including the times for all the recipes. But considering that I am not making it, I have no idea how long does it take. If I remember correctly, it took more than an hour.

Ingredients:

Dough

  • 600g of flour
  • 150g of butter
  • 2dl of sour cream
  • whole eggs
  • baking powder
  • 200g of sugar

Cream

  • 1l of milk
  • 300g of sugar
  • 8 spoons of flour
  • 2 spoons of cacao
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 200g of butter

Cover

  • 100g of chocolate
  • 80g of sugar
  • 60g of butter
  • little milk

Recipe:

  • Mix all the things for a dough, divide it into parts and flatten them. Then bake it 10-15 minutes on 180°C. Wait until cold.
  • Cook cream by adding everything but butter. After getting a little colder, add the butter
  • Make cover by cooking everything for the cover. I suggest water bath.
  • Put dough, cream, ... until you run out of dough. Put the cover on top of it. Cool it down before serving.
